2 of my favorite things in the world makes a perfect combo: Disneyland & ice cream!!!
I am such a Disney nerd and have been to Disneyland literally hundreds of times.
In honor of National Ice Cream Month (July) I present to you my favorite ice cream location inside the Disneyland Resort, Ghirardelli's Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. This shop is next to cars land, as you are entering the wharf (where the food court is).
The Ghirardelli headquarters can be found in San Francisco, but I'm not opposed to having some chocolatey goodness in California Adventure.
There were many choices from cones to sundaes to milkshakes! They had it all!
The inside has cute scenes from home, San Francisco.
I ended up going with a sprinkle cone (to match my nails) and was given the option of 3 scoops. Naturally, I chose my classic go to's: Ghirardelli Chocolate, Rocky Road and Cookie Dough!
We also had a:
Cookie Bits Sundae - Vanilla ice cream nestled between cookies and cream ice cream and smothered in hot fudge, topped with whipped cream, colossal Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookie crumbles and 2 milk chocolate minis!
Nob Hill Chill - a sundae you can sip (vanilla ice cream, fudge and chocolate chips on top)!
This rich, creamy ice cream his the spot! But make sure you eat it quickly! Don't let this happen to you!
Here are some other great Disneyland Resort ice cream options:
Pineapple Dole Whip Soft Serve
Adventureland Entrance - Disneyland Park
So creamy and fruity! Lines can be long, but it is worth it!
Paradise Pier Soft Serve
California Adventure Boardwalk
They only serve 2 flavors, so you can get chocolate, vanilla or a swirl!
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor
Main Street USA - Disneyland Park
They make their cones fresh daily and seasonal sprinkles along with select Dreyer's ice cream!
Clarabelle's Ice Cream
Front of California Adventure
As you enter the park, Clarabelle's can be found at the end of the street on your right (next to Starbucks). It isn't homemade but a nice selection of Dreyer's ice cream!
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches
Various Ice Cream Carts and Restaurants around the Parks
A classic that I have loved since I was a kid! They are so frozen at first, its so hard to be patient to wait for it to soften!
