MOLLY MOON'S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM
917 E Pine St, Seattle WA 98122
Even though Seattle is known as the birthplace of Starbucks and has great coffee shops, we were able to find delectable ice cream!
Molly Moon's Ice Cream not only works with local farmers and producers, they also give back a percentage to non-profit charities to fight local hunger. They really just want to make the world a better (and happier) place. I couldn't agree more!
There are a few locations, but we hiked up the hill from Seattle's city center to find Molly Moons in Capitol Hill and we were so glad we did. There were even signs leading the way:
MOLLY MOON'S ICE CREAM FLAVORS
They had amazing options such as melted chocolate, honey lavender, scout mint, maple walnut, and lots of toppings. We waited about 10 minutes or so but it was a warm day for Seattle and a Sunday afternoon.
I loved this map of their locations and thought I should make one for all the ice cream locations I've ever been (that's a lot):
Although we didn't get a waffle cone, they make them fresh in front of you, leaving that wonderful fragrance of waffle goodness in the air and you can smell it the moment you walk in.
After trying the whole board we ended up with some great choices - Vanilla Bean, Maple Walnut, Scout mint, and Cookie Dough. The consistency is very creamy and the scout mint had big chunks of Girl Scout Cookies.
Yum! Across the street from this location was Anderson Park, so we sat on the grass and enjoyed our ice cream with blue skies above. When Josh wasn't looking, I might have stolen a bite or two of his - shhh, don't tell him!
