There are many amazing places in Vegas to get alcoholic slushees, but why get slushees when you can get ALCOHOLIC MILKSHAKES! Yes, ice cream and alcohol combined, creating a delightful treat.
Paris Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas
Now this place does ice cream right. You can get a cup, cone, ice cream sandwich, milkshake, or even an ALCOHOLIC MILKSHAKE! Every option is completely customizable from a wide variety of ice cream, toppings, cookies, and alcohol.
I was very excited to try this place, but was definitely underwhelmed by the experience. Located in front of the Monte Carlo on Las Vegas Blvd itself, I was shocked to see there was one person working behind the counter. Of course, everyone was ordering shakes. It. took. FOREVER.
I decided on the Adult Cookie Jar - Vanilla Ice Cream, Oreo Cookie, Cookie Dough, Bailey's Irish Cream and SKYY Infusions Vanilla Bean Vodka, topped with whipped cream and Chocolate sauce. It was about $15 for a smallish shake (compared to places like Burger Bar or Holstein's) that didn't seem to have much alcohol but was still tasty and sweet. Even the whipped cream fell flat before I took a sip.
I did find the melting ice cream doorstopper I had been wanting! It was on sale and I had to have it (see pic in gallery below)!
ARIA Resort & Casino
Tucked by the sports bar, this spot has not only GREAT pizza, but even better shakes! What you need to order here:
- CAPPUCCINO SHAKE - Coffee & chocolate ice cream, mocha espresso beans, whipped cream, a shot of espresso and add some Kalua.
- CREAMSICLE FLOAT- Boyland Orange Creme soda with vodka and some vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet on top!
- ELVIS SHAKE - Banana and Chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, candied bacon and whipped cream, add Myers RUM! *We asked for no banana. YUM!
I was sad when I discovered a restaurant replaced the lion habitat at MGM Grand, so I drowned my sorrows in their delightful alcoholic milkshakes!
The Oreo Mudslide is one of the best! Vodka, ice cream, and Oreo's. Why wouldn't this be amazing? There's also a Luck O' the Irish and Spiked Strawberry Shortcake.
I love the decor of this place, it looks like a bright sunny farm with cows all over. They sure do a great job to milk those cows to make delicious "BAM-BOOZLED MILKSHAKES!" Ok they aren't REAL cows, but somewhere a cow was milked!
We loved our selections:
Frozen Grasshopper - crème de menthe, pinnacle chocolate vodka, dark & white chocolate crunchies, peppermint meringue, mini peppermint patties, wintergreen candy stick, vanilla frosting, mint chocolate chipsDrunken Monkey - hazelnut liqueur, malt, banana, Reese's peanut butter cups, chick-o-stick, banana laffy taffy, vanilla frosting, eese’s pieces (minus the banana). Also, thanks Holstein's for being a classic soda shop and providing the extra leftovers of the milkshake, let's not waste booze. Let's get bam-boozled.
#2 LVB Burger
One of my ABSOLUTE favorite places for alcoholic milkshakes. Sometimes we'll come just for shakes and fries! The burgers are delicious too, but let's be real, this is Vegas, I'm hot and I want ice cream + alcohol.
They have made it even easier and have a to go window so you can walk the strip, take it to the pool, or play your favorite slot while sipping on this goodness.
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas
MY FAVORITE!!!!! There are a few around the world including San Francisco and
They have suggested milkshake mixtures or you can create your own! Many combinations include
From their menu, I do love: MINT CHOCOLATE CHIPS - Mint chocolate chips ice cream and mint liquor,
topped with chocolate whipped cream and an Oreo® cookie.
I tend to make my own and go chocolate crazy - Chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, chocolate whipped cream and baileys!
No shots for you? That's ok, I don't like peer pressure either. See these non-alcoholic ice cream recommendations:
This was an amazing find. Their decor is a "modern reflection of the Victorian era, celebrating the steampunk sub-genre often associated with science-fiction and inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century." Sound funky? Yup it is.
Celebrity Chef Rick Moonen has a great twist on classic comfort food, offering fun and interesting combinations of small plates and sharable options. Go with a big group to try everything.
For dessert, they have many options but of course we went with the Rx Tasting game - 8 Flavors of House-Made ice cream and sorbet, served BLIND! They give you a sheet so you can guess the flavors. If you guess them all correctly, your dessert is free. We were SO CLOSE. Missed 2 of them. Guiness Beer was one of the flavors which tasted like licorice almost!
WHAT A FUN CHALLENGE!
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas
So much sugar here! From bulk candy to ice cream, they have all the sweets you'll need! Will someone try that blue and pink one please?! Let me know what you think!
Also, can they make this tutu in adult sizes!
Fashion Show Mall
This mall is amazing. It has EVERYTHING, including ice cream. I'd like a banana split please!
They get extra brownie points for putting M&M's on top. I guess that's M&M points instead of brownie? Anyway...
Sounds lame, but have you ever tried one of their dazzlers?! Ice cream, toppings and your choice of sauce layered with about 3 large scoops.
